After Jesús finally lands a part as an innkeeper in his school’s Nativity play, he asks God to help him be the best innkeeper ever. Day by day, he grows more and more confident in his role, but on opening night, he finds himself so swept up in this long-ago world, that when Mary and Joseph ask him,”Do you have any room at your inn?”he comes up with his own answer, causing chaos on the stage.

My Review

With Christmas fast approaching, this book will be a go-to to help my child understand what the true meaning behind Christmas really is. This is the story of a boy named Jesūs who wants a part in the Nativity school play so bad. When he gets one he’s so nervous and prays to God to help him. When he messes up his lines in the sweetest way ever, he becomes the star of the show! The story was absolutely wonderful. Huge emphasis on what it’s like to be kind and compassionate. Thinking about others and praying for them. A Christmas story that we will read each and every year. Phenomenal illustrations bring the story to life!
