Join the journey of learning letters and numbers with Bu Bu, a fuzzy book who brings reading to life. I C U is the 1st book of the Grow Goodness Beginner Reader Series that introduces the concepts of letter identification and counting. It also features engaging colors, rhyming, big fuzzy letters, and original Grow Goodness animation characters.

This is the easiest book for a child to read on their own once they simply know the name of each letter and single-digit number. I C U is an amazing book to build reading confidence and it enables children to finish their first book at the beginning stages of literacy development!

I C U is meant to be an approachable resource for beginner readers and introduce concepts like letter-identification, single-digit counting, reading from top to bottom, left to right and front to back.

When a child has these concepts down and is able to have the experience of reading their first book on their own, it springs forth amazing beginner reader confidence and inspires a passionate literacy desire.

We use our original 3D characters to keep the children engaged and we even created a fuzzy font that encourages the reader to trace the letters, a kinesthetic learning technique that helps children memorize letters and numbers.

Each page has large letters, colorful content, and counting practice for the reader. And lastly, the main character, Bu Bu, is a fuzzy living eyeball that brings reading to life!

My Review

Rating: 5 out of 5.

We loved this book! My son was so excited to be able to read the entire book by himself. I got to watch his eyes light up as he turned the pages. He was so happy with himself and looking to me for approval before he went onto the next page. I can’t even put into words the way my heart burst into joy. My son is only 3yrs old and has read his first book. I love the concept that Grow Goodness has came up with. There are two more books in the series – 2 & 3 letter word books. I can’t wait for the next one!

About Grow Goodness, LLC

Grow Goodness is a new animation and children’s book company trying to grow goodness in the world. 2-time National Teacher of the Year and founder of Grow Goodness, Hunter Menning, was inspired to make a change when he found out that 1 in 4 children in America can’t read. The company then created a beginner reader book series that’s showing results of children reading books 1 to 2 years sooner.

These easy and approachable words for beginner readers help them to gain confidence, familiarize with foundational reading concepts, and build a positive literacy desire. The series also incorporates their original 3D animation characters, which happen to be living books with eyes to make the content entertaining and engaging. And to give back, Grow Goodness takes a portion of every book purchase to help children-in-need across the community get these books too.
