Have you ever felt like you just don’t know what to do? Do you sometimes feel like you can’t really say how you feel, or that no one is listening anyway? Well, no matter how you’re feeling or how your day is going, you can always turn your day around! You will feel so proud when you challenge yourself to use your imagination to solve your problem. Remember, there is always a rainbow after the rain!

My Review

This story is so very relatable! If you have kids you know that no matter what they can get bored very easily. This little boy loves to play outside but it’s raining, his parents are working, sister is on her phone – even the dog don’t want to play with him!! He ends up finding paint and crayons and draws a beautiful rainbow. Once the rain is through he goes outside to play and guess what? There’s a gorgeous rainbow waiting for him. I loved reading this book, it’s told in rhyming verses that match perfectly with the phenomenal illustrations. Definitely one you’ll want to share with your kids!

About The Author

Lorraine Sperone Stocks is certified by New York as an assistant teacher. She has worked with children in elementary schools (primarily K–2) for more than sixteen years and holds a BA degree in English with a minor in psychology. She has four children and four grandchildren, all of whom she is extremely proud! She volunteers at organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rockland County, New York, and fundraises for similar programs whose primary purpose is to help children who are in need or at risk. Lorraine’s passion is to reach out to children who at times feel anxious, alone, helpless, or generally unsure of themselves. She is sensitive to children’s emotions, both personally and in her work, as she herself dealt with anxiety as a child. This is Lorraine’s first children’s book, and she looks forward to many more.
