While drifting to sleep, chessa pounced on mom’s head
Mom jolted awake with a scratch near her eye
“CHESSA!” screamed mom as she let out a cry
My Review
This series was so much fun to read! Julie is a master at creating an entire book with seamless rhymes. Is so easy to grab the rhythm she intended and it makes reading the book an amazing experience for both adult and child. The stories themselves all have wonderful life lessons that can be better understood by little minds through the books. Worry & fear, temptation & doing wrong, and tempers & violence – these are all huge feelings and actions that all children suffer with. With these books you can teach your child how to overcome each. The illustrations – also done by Julie – are adorable and bring everything together. Wonderful series that should be in every home. I can’t wait to see what comes next!!
