My Review

As I read this book I was transported to my childhood, and singing along as I went. Watching Sesame Street when I was a child this song would be in my head all day long after. On each page is a verse of the Sunny Day song – and very different artwork on each spread is beyond gorgeous. So many different artistic styles bringing the diversity of Sesame Street alive. Take your child on a throwback adventure they won’t soon forget!

Behind The Magic

Joe Raposo (1937–1989) began playing piano as a child, and later studied piano with the great Nadia Boulanger in Paris. A serendipitous meeting with Jim Henson in the 1960s led Raposo to join the team behind the creation of Sesame Street, for which he served as musical director for several years. He wrote more than two thousand songs for Sesame Street, earning three Emmys for his work on the show.
