My Review

Rating: 5 out of 5.

It has been such a very long time since I’ve read something that touched me the way that Chris’s story has. First off, I felt a kinship with Nik’s wife, Patty. After years of trying to have a child it seemed it was never going to happen for me. At 37, it did happen – and I was appalled when the doctor informed me that I could terminate the pregnancy if they found the baby to have down syndrome. I never even let them test the baby, that baby was my blessing no matter how he came out.

Having the faith in God that both Patty & Nik have is another reason I felt so connected. I love how they both not only overcame the obstacles of having a child with down syndrome, but helped him to achieve his dreams. Proved to him that he was good enough and if you set your mind to anything you can get there. Chris set his goals and he met them! He broke a world record! Having a wonderful family backing him at every turn was exactly how life should be. Help people unlock their full potential. I want to be this type of parent to my child.

In the back of the book, Nik, gives you a plan for success. Follow that plan just like Chris did and watch your dreams come true.

I think everyone can learn more than one valuable lesson from reading this book. It’s phenomenal and I can’t give it enough praise.
