When did you write your first book and how old were you?

Marlayna: I was 6 or 7 years old. Glued a bunch of paper together into a booklet. It was

about talking vegetables in a supermarket.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

Marlayna: I have a few. I dislike the word that and just over skip writing it. My editor has to

go back and add them in when needed. I love ly words, and I love to show and tell emotion

at the same time. For instance, her frame shook with anger.

What is your favourite scene to write?

Marlayna: I’m a sucker for a great love scene, and I like to live in the moment—from the first

kiss, every caress, until the blissful end. I listen to a playlist I made with deep male voices

who are singing about loving their significant other. Sometimes while writing these scenes I

will need to see the mechanics of what I am striving for, so I will watch research.

What genres do you write in?

Marlayna: Annora writes erotica, Aaryanna writes fantasy, Achelle writes women’s fiction,

and I write romance. I bridge all my pen names with Marlayna James as a co-author in every

book.

Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

Marlayna: I wish I heard from readers more often. We have a Facebook group

(https://www.facebook.com/groups/fwpvip) where my pen names and readers are very

active. My readers and reviewers have been very positive. I encourage my readers to be

extremely blunt and truthful about the things they like and hate. I can only be as good as my

worst critic deems.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

Marlayna: I’m a video game junkie. WoW, CoD, and Witcher are a few of my favourites. I

love Downunder TV shows. My addiction is Offspring—I highly recommend it if you like

character depth. I enjoy gardening, preserving, survival camping, and music.

About Aaryanna Abbott:

This is another of my pen names. For every pen name, I use a different part of who I am. I imagine this is how she looks.

What’s this part of me like?

I was a daddy’s girl. The very epitome of spoilt.

I love to be wild and crazy—experience everything the world has to offer. I’m adventurous and my carefree disposition is contagious.

I’m loyal to a fault and don’t care what expectations or labels society has bestowed upon me. I believe one’s truth is more valuable than anyone’s perception.

This part of me writes for escapism—to be free of my mundane day to day and live in a magical world almost as real to me as earth. Except in my imaginary world, I control all things and it pleases me to no end.
