This high-heat romance with a guaranteed HEA is a prequel to Gathering of the Four: Book One of the Serrulata Saga but can be read as a standalone.

My Review

After reading Gathering of the Four (The Serrulata Saga Book 1) I fell in love with Bennett’s writing. So when I seen this Novella, I had to read it. I’m so thankful for this opportunity!

For such a short book, this one really packs a punch. Lady Octavia is of the age ready for marrying, and she’s the one all the gents want to scoop up. Lord Gerald is also in the market for marriage, however, he’s shy and a bit awkward. Let me just say, this time era is one of my favorites. The fact that parents put their children on display for suitors at a certain age is mind blowing to me. I love reading about the balls and getting different perspectives. The chemistry Bennett creates between Lady Octavia & Lord Gerald was done beautifully. I found this story tugging on my emotions and raising the tension. I don’t want to give anything away, so let me just say this. Grab Gathering of the Four, then this book and read them as soon as possible! The second book in the The Serrulata Saga, Test of the Four will be coming out soon! This is a phenomenal beginning and you won’t want to miss it.
