My Review

Rating: 5 out of 5.

These books are absolutely adorable! Graphic novel layout, with super amazing illustrations. Each book takes you on an adventure with Layla & The Bots, where they have to solve some sort of dilemma. The author does a phenomenal job with a huge focus on teamwork and friendships. The artist does an amazing job at bringing emotions through the characters. I think kids of all ages will love these, as an adult I thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. I can’t wait to see what Layla and The Bots come up with next!

About The Author

Hi! I’m Vicky Fang and I’m a children’s book author. I’m also a product designer who invents things—like cars that talk to each other, robots you can build at home, and games you can play with your voice. I started writing to support the growing need for early coding education, particularly for girls and kids of color. I am the author of nine new and upcoming STEAM books for kids, including Invent-a-Pet, I Can Code, Layla and the Bots, and my author-illustrator debut, Friendbots.

Outside of writing, I like eating, binge-watching TV series, papercraft, crafting new anything, dancing, and playing with my kids. I sometimes like to imagine I’m still a cool artist/designer living in New York, but I traded that in years ago for a super sweet life with my family in Mountain View, California.
