It’s Me

It’s Me

By Jeff Kubiak, Illustrated by Briannah Alpeter

It’s Me is dedicated to every person who has ever felt less about who they are or want to be because of someone else’s opinion, feelings, or prejudice. Let’s ditch the prejudiced labeling, and embrace our Human Race for the diversity, inclusivity, equity, and individuality we all deserve.

My Thoughts

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This book should be a mandatory read in school. Each page tells a different persons story – what makes them unique and how they would love to be accepted. I think a lot of children and adults will connect with at least one of the stories in the book – helping them know they aren’t alone. For other children that single out or bully others due to differences, this book could change their viewpoints also. A very powerful book – each character will pull on your emotions.

With bullying and child suicide at an all time high – it’s time to make a change! This book could be that first step that so many people (kids & adults alike) need to take.
