Bookish Advent Calendars

With Christmas fast approaching, I wanted to share something very special with you. If you’ve been following me, you know that I’m a Christian. The following 2 advent calendars are Christian based, and books! Celebrate this very special holiday by sharing the real reason we celebrate with your children.

The first advent calendar I want to share is “The Story of Christmas” advent book calendar by Workman Publishing. Celebrate the season with an innovative Advent calendar, story book set, and tree-trimming keepsake.

Wonderfully illustrated and brimming with holiday spirit, this unique advent calendar features 24 jewel-like miniature board books to help children count down to Christmas. Each day from December 1st through Christmas Eve, open a book, just like the peek-a-boo window on an Advent calendar, and then hang it on the Christmas tree by its gold thread loop. Read in sequence, the books tell the magical story of the first Christmas, from Gabriel’s visit to Mary to the Three Wise Men gazing at the star to Jesus’ birth. A treasured keepsake to reuse year after year.

What?!?! Jesus, books & ornaments… Oh my! This is definitely going to be a staple in our home every Christmas. Simply amazing! Age range on this is from 1 year up to adult. I’m super excited to start this one!

The second advent calendar I want to share is The Christmas Promise advent calendar from The Good Book. This attractive lift-the-flap Advent Calendar for children 5-11 years old matches the illustrations in The Christmas Promise storybook. It comes with a booklet containing 25 devotions for December to help families explore the Bible together in the run up to Christmas. You can use this alone or pair it with the picture book, board book or coloring book.

A beautiful book paired with great devotionals to share with your child. I’ve got the advent calendar and the picture book. This is a gift that will last a lifetime. I cannot wait to start this one with our little guy either.

It’s never too early to teach your child about Jesus, and how special He is. I’m so very honored to have gotten both of these amazing calendars gifted to me by The Good Book Company and Workman Publishing.

You still have time to get your hands on either or both of these before December 1st if you act now! Click on those calendars below to get yours.

I’ve got some more amazing Christian based children’s books coming up very soon, as well as traditional Santa books – hit that follow button below and never miss a post again. Have a blessed day!
