I Have A Green Monster Who Lives In My Brain
By Michelle Redmond and illustrated by Alice Scott

“I Have a Green Monster Who Lives in My Brain” is a picture book to help young children with stress, fear and anxiety. It is a fun rhyming book which gives children the tools to overcome their fears. In today’s world we are seeing more and more issues with small children. This is an amusing story that helps the child learn how to take control of the thoughts (Green Monster) causing the fear and anxiety they are experiencing and help them to be happy and have fun. It was inspired by our granddaughter Emma who suffered and overcame her anxiety issues.
We Give It…
It’s so sad that in our world today our children suffer with anxiety and fear. With so many “standards” out there it’s no wonder they feel this way. This book is a great way of knowing that you can get rid of those fears and anxieties. You have to start believing in yourself, you are good enough! Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise. There were a couple parts of the book that had more “violence” towards the fears and anxieties depicted that I though were too graphic. Otherwise, this book is spot on!
